Pastor - David carothers

  • David Carothers is a second generation Nevadan and met Jesus at Camp Lee Canyon in 1976.  Christ set David on course to train him to trust and obey Him.  God called David into ministry while attending Pepperdine University where he earned a BS in Business.  The first place David would follow Christ was to the inner-city of Philadelphia where he worked with students.  There he met a young lady from Iowa who was serving Jesus in a private Christian school.  Together they served, leading teens to be disciples of Jesus.  In 1992, David and Joan were married and served in David’s home church in Las Vegas as a Singles Pastor.  After the internship they moved to Fort Worth, Texas for David to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity and helped start Discovery Church. In 1996, they moved to northern California to join a church plant in their fourth year named Twin Cities Church.  Their daughter Abigail was born the same year followed by Andrew, Aaron and Amara.  In 2010, God led David to serve in a church in central California, where they served for 8 years. He was a very active Pastor, serving in the larger community on several non-profit boards and raising the value of prayer in the community.  In 2018, David and his family relocated to his home city of Las Vegas and founded a discipleship ministry called Daily Transformation that has begun work in nearly 20 countries. Their focus is helping seekers, scattered sheep, stuck sheep and shepherds have a LIFE transforming relationship with Jesus.  Their discipleship tool, the Daily Transformation Journal, has been translated into more than a dozen languages and is available on your smartphone.  In late 2020, Daily Transformation began First Love Bible College to train pastors and Christian leaders in Christian theology.  Today they have 6 sites in Pakistan and Uganda.  David is completing his doctoral dissertation at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary on church revitalization and hopes to complete his project in late 2022 or early 2023.  David became Pastor of Lake Mead Baptist Church on July 1, 2022, where he believes God has called him to revitalize the love filled church through training the congregation to follow him as he follows Christ as a reproducing disciple of Jesus.
